At a touching event at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, Byron, Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick, and Vice Chairman Jeff Gordon joined pediatric blood cancer survivors and their families to reveal the special paint design. The artwork was created by four young survivors and includes bright unicorns, confetti, and other cheerful symbols that show their courage and strength. This design is part of Blood Cancer United’s Dare to Dream Project, a $175 million campaign that is changing the way pediatric blood cancer is treated.

Later in October, the No. 24 Valvoline Chevrolet will be displayed at Valvoline Global’s headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky. This event will celebrate the partnership and the launch of Blood Cancer United’s new name and its new initiatives. It’s also a way for employees to show their support and show how committed Valvoline Global is to helping children and families affected by blood cancer.
Jamal Muashsher, President and CEO of Valvoline Global, talked about the company’s commitment to making a positive difference and supporting causes that matter. He said their partnership with Blood Cancer United shows the company’s main purpose of inspiring and enabling progress, especially for children and families going through tough times.
On race day, October 5th, Byron will race with the special car at the ROVAL 400. Joining him will be the four young artists whose work is on the car. These young artists, known as the “Honored Heroes,” will be at the event thanks to Valvoline Global to see their artwork in action at one of the most exciting places in NASCAR.
Byron, who has won the DAYTONA 500 twice, said the paint scheme means more than just a design. It represents hope, bravery, and the strength of the kids who made it. He is proud to carry their message at his hometown race and praises Valvoline Global for supporting such an important cause. Byron also acknowledged the great care available at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte and noted that many families don’t have access to similar resources.
