Announced at SXSW 2026, the app is now officially available for U.S. consumers, with personalized health recommendation refreshes from licensed clinicians, AI-guided symptom navigation, and deeper nutrition insight

Verily, a precision health AI company, has announced the general availability of its consumer health application Verily Me, alongside several new features designed to deliver more personalized and context-aware healthcare guidance. Following a successful beta phase, the app aims to bridge gaps in care by helping users better understand their health data while enabling access to provider-backed recommendations.

As healthcare systems increasingly integrate AI into healthcare and digital patient engagement tools, platforms like Verily Me are emerging as key solutions for empowering patients to take a more active role in managing their health. The application combines personal health records, AI-driven insights, and provider guidance within a secure digital environment designed to support everyday health decision-making.

At the center of the platform is “Violet,” an AI companion integrated within the Verily Me app that provides 24/7 support to help users interpret health data and navigate their healthcare journey. By analyzing a user’s available medical history and contextual information, Violet helps translate complex medical information into clear and actionable insights.

One of the most notable new features is Symptom Assessment with Context, currently available in beta. Through a multi-turn conversational interface, Violet can ask targeted follow-up questions to better understand a user’s symptoms. The system considers an individual’s medical history and contextual health data to deliver self-care guidance while recommending when professional medical attention may be necessary.

Another important update is the Care Recommendation Refresh feature. Users can request periodic provider-led reviews of their health records to receive updated preventive screening recommendations. This capability enables individuals to stay aligned with evolving medical guidelines and maintain proactive healthcare management.

The app also introduces Enhanced Meal Logging, allowing users to take photos of their meals and instantly receive macronutrient estimates and nutritional insights. This functionality helps individuals monitor diet patterns in real time and make informed lifestyle adjustments that support long-term health goals.

Myoung Cha, Chief Product Officer at Verily, emphasized the broader vision behind the platform’s launch. According to Cha, the general availability of Verily Me represents a key step toward making personalized health guidance accessible to more people while maintaining strong privacy and security standards. The platform is designed so that personal health data remains controlled by the user, enabling individuals to better manage their well-being.

A major differentiator of the platform lies in its approach to AI-driven healthcare support. Unlike general-purpose large language models, Violet operates through a structured clinical intake process that mirrors how healthcare providers gather information during patient consultations. By asking targeted questions and analyzing available health records, the system generates guidance grounded in clinical reasoning rather than generic AI responses.

Vindell Washington, MD, MS, Chief Clinical Officer at Verily, noted that while millions of people are turning to AI tools for health questions, many lack the necessary clinical context to deliver accurate guidance. Verily Me addresses this gap by combining advanced AI capabilities with healthcare expertise to ensure recommendations are informed, transparent, and clinically relevant.

With the launch of Verily Me and its expanded feature set, Verily continues to advance the role of AI-powered digital health platforms in improving patient engagement, preventive care, and personalized healthcare experiences.
