Royer Cooper Cohen Braunfeld LLC (RCCB), a business-focused law firm known for combining legal insight with entrepreneurial thinking, announced that healthcare attorneys Sheila M. Mints and Vincent T. Cieslik have joined the firm as Partners. Their arrival marks two significant developments for RCCB, including the opening of a Southern New Jersey office and the official launch of the firm’s Healthcare Group, which will be led by Mints.

This expansion extends RCCB’s footprint beyond its existing offices in Philadelphia, Conshohocken, New York City, and Nashville, which opened in 2025. Establishing a New Jersey office gives the firm a permanent presence in a strategically important market and enhances its ability to serve clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

“Healthcare has been a steadily growing focus for our firm, and bringing Sheila and Vince on board meaningfully accelerates that progress,” said John E. Royer, Jr., Managing Partner of RCCB. “Their experience strengthens our healthcare capabilities and provides a strong foundation for our Southern New Jersey office. Being on the ground in New Jersey allows us to better support our clients, deepen market relationships, and continue building a healthcare practice with broad reach.”

Mints and Cieslik join RCCB after practicing together at a New Jersey-based regional firm. Their practices complement one another and span regulatory, transactional, and litigation matters across the healthcare industry. Together, they advise healthcare providers, medical practices, and healthcare-related businesses operating in a complex and highly regulated environment.

As Chair of RCCB’s Healthcare Group, Mints focuses on healthcare transactions, regulatory compliance, and investigations. With more than 30 years of experience across healthcare, corporate, regulatory, and tax law, she works closely with clients on matters that require a strong understanding of both legal requirements and operational realities. Her work includes advising providers, group practices, hospitals, and healthcare companies on joint ventures, private equity transactions, governance issues, compliance matters, and government and commercial investigations involving billing and coding. She also counsels clients on emerging issues affecting healthcare operations, including the use of artificial intelligence in clinical and business settings.

“RCCB offers the depth of talent and collaborative approach that healthcare clients increasingly rely on,” said Mints. “The firm’s momentum, combined with its thoughtful growth strategy and commitment to teamwork, made joining RCCB a natural next step.”

Cieslik maintains a healthcare-centered litigation and advisory practice, representing physicians, medical professionals, medical practices, and healthcare organizations in disputes, investigations, and regulatory matters. His experience includes advising on privacy and data security, HIPAA compliance, employment and shareholder disputes, and matters involving professional and regulatory boards. He also serves as outside general counsel to large medical practices. His trial background allows him to assess risk, guide clients through strategic decisions, and pursue practical resolutions that limit disruption, cost, and reputational exposure. In addition to his healthcare work, Cieslik represents nonprofit organizations in Camden that focus on affordable housing initiatives.

“The opportunity at RCCB stood out because of the firm’s culture and entrepreneurial mindset,” said Cieslik. “That environment allows us to grow our practice, serve clients effectively, and collaborate with colleagues who genuinely support one another. I look forward to continuing my work with clients throughout Southern New Jersey and across the state.”

The New Jersey office will initially be staffed by a team of partners, counsel, and associates, with Partner Sean Litz serving as the firm’s New Jersey office leader. Several current RCCB attorneys who live in New Jersey, including Litz, will transition from the Philadelphia office to the new location, immediately strengthening the firm’s local presence.

RCCB’s Healthcare Group will collaborate closely with the firm’s corporate, tax, litigation, and regulatory teams to support healthcare providers, payors, startups, and technology companies, including those working at the intersection of healthcare and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. The expansion also aligns with the firm’s Nashville office, a major healthcare hub, creating additional opportunities for collaboration, growth, and talent development.
