Torbjörn Kronander, President and CEO of Sectra AB, said that collaborating with Kameda Medical Center on this project is a major milestone for the company. He added that receiving the order from such a respected institution demonstrates Sectra’s commitment to supporting Japanese healthcare providers in adopting digital pathology and improving workflow efficiency for faster and more precise diagnostics.
The project at Kameda Medical Center comes after Sectra signed a contract in the second quarter of its 2025/2026 fiscal year through Matsunami Glass, the company’s distribution partner in Japan. The implementation will allow pathologists to access digital images of tissue samples instantly and remotely, replacing traditional glass slides and microscopes. This will enable more efficient review and collaboration on cases while leveraging AI tools integrated into the platform.
