NewYork-Presbyterian announced on Wednesday that entrepreneur and philanthropist Emilia Fazzalari has contributed $20 million to establish a comprehensive women’s health program designed to provide coordinated, lifelong care, with a special emphasis on perimenopause and menopause, areas that have historically received limited clinical attention and research.

The donation will fund the creation of the Emilia Fazzalari Women’s Health Center of Excellence and the Emilia Fazzalari Women’s Health Program, collectively referred to as Fazzalari Women’s Health. This initiative aims to expand access to integrated, multidisciplinary care for women across Manhattan and Westchester, offering a seamless health experience that prioritizes long-term well-being.

“We have completely reimagined how women receive care,” said Emilia Fazzalari. “This program sets a new standard in women’s health by keeping patients at the center of every decision.”

Fazzalari Women’s Health places a woman’s OB/GYN at the heart of her care, supported by a dedicated team of specialists from NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia. This coordinated approach ensures that women receive continuous, connected care instead of fragmented visits, empowering them to take an active role in their health.

The program is led by nationally recognized obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Mary Rosser, who serves as director of Fazzalari Women’s Health. Dr. Rosser explained that the initiative is designed to address women’s evolving health needs throughout their lives, offering particular expertise in perimenopause and menopause.

Care will be provided at two locations: NewYork-Presbyterian The One in Westchester, a newly developed multispecialty center, and a Manhattan site on West 51st Street. The program offers a full range of services, including gynecologic care, cardiovascular health, mental health support, neurocognitive assessments, gastrointestinal and sexual health services, nutrition and exercise guidance, and genetic screening. It is one of the few programs in the region to offer comprehensive menopause management, with personalized plans for both immediate symptom relief and long-term health outcomes.

“We are deeply thankful to Emilia for this transformative gift,” said Dr. Rosser. “It allows us to support women as active partners in their care, improve quality of life, and help them maintain health throughout their lifespan. This program truly coordinates care across all specialties.”

Dr. Mary D’Alton, obstetrician and gynecologist-in-chief at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, added, “Emilia Fazzalari’s vision is bold and forward-thinking. Her generosity enables us to expand compassionate, personalized care and make it more widely available to women in our community.”
