Peregrine Health, a national company that focuses on offering behavioral health services in areas where they are not easily available, has announced a bigger partnership with Arcare, one of the biggest networks of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in the country. This new agreement is meant to greatly improve access to mental health care in rural communities by including Peregrine Health’s services in over 70 Arcare clinics across Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi. These areas have struggled for a long time to get behavioral health care, with many people not having access at all.

Adam Peebles, the CEO of Peregrine Health, stressed the importance of behavioral health support in rural regions. He said that this expansion will allow tens of thousands of patients who have not had care before to now get the help they need. Peebles also mentioned that the partnership is more than just about growing the business—it’s about solving a major healthcare problem. He added that their mission has always been to improve how behavioral health is accessed, managed, and kept available in communities that need it most, and this new agreement with Arcare is a big step in making that mission a reality.

The lack of behavioral health professionals continues to affect millions of people nationwide, especially in rural areas where access is still a big issue. Peregrine Health has developed a strong technology system and a team of skilled clinicians to support the operational needs of FQHCs like Arcare. With this expansion, Arcare will be able to offer a wider range of mental health and substance use treatment services, which many communities have not had before. By using technology and telehealth tools, the partnership will bring timely and effective treatment to where it is needed most.

Dr. Steven Collier, the CEO of Arcare, called this expansion a key step in fulfilling Arcare’s commitment to fair and equal care. He explained that Arcare has always believed that healthcare should be available to everyone, and this partnership helps bring that belief to life in the area of behavioral health. Dr. Collier noted that thousands of patients, especially those in remote or hard-to-reach places, will now have the chance to speak with a mental health counselor or psychiatric provider without having to travel far. He credited Peregrine Health’s expert clinical team and user-friendly platform for making it possible to provide care where patients are, both in location and in their clinical needs, regardless of their income or insurance status.

This expanded partnership comes after a successful pilot program that started in 2024, when Peregrine Health first began offering its services at one Arcare clinic in Kentucky. That initial collaboration showed great promise and led both organizations to move forward with a broader rollout. Under the new agreement, Peregrine Health is expected to support more than 50,000 behavioral health visits across Arcare clinics in the next year. All of these services will be delivered through Peregrine Health’s telehealth-enabled platform, ensuring that care is consistent, reachable, and adjusted to meet the unique needs of each group of patients.
