Nutex Health, a healthcare system led by doctors with 24 micro hospitals and outpatient centers in 11 states, along with primary care networks where doctors take on financial risk, has appointed Wesley Bamburg as its Chief Operating Officer starting October 13, 2025. Bamburg has over 20 years of experience in managing healthcare operations, growing businesses, managing integrated networks, and working with doctors. Before joining Nutex Health, he was Chief Operating Officer at HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress since July 2024. Prior to that, he held the same role at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center from 2019 to 2024.

Bamburg started his career in 2013 at HCA Healthcare as Vice President of Payor Contracting & Alignment for the Gulf Coast Division. He has led projects related to managed care networks and provider partnerships across eleven states, which has given him a deep understanding of both the challenges faced by healthcare payors and providers. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration on an athletic scholarship from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and later obtained an MBA from Oklahoma City University. He is also board-certified in healthcare management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
