XRP Healthcare has improved its main XRPH AI app to meet strict HIPAA privacy standards, making it the first digital health app in Africa to keep all personal health data encrypted and stored only on the user’s device. This ensures that no sensitive information is is ever saved on company servers or in the cloud, providing top security for patients throughout the continent. Many healthcare systems in Africa still use outdated paper records, even though they serve over 1.4 billion people. The healthcare IT market in Africa is expected to grow beyond $20 billion by 2030, driven by increased mobile usage, cloud technology, and government efforts to modernize healthcare. XRPH AI combines strong data privacy with artificial intelligence features to improve healthcare access, literacy, and affordability, starting with Uganda.

Kain Roomes, Founder and CEO of XRP Healthcare, stressed the importance of privacy, saying Africa deserves the same standards as major cities like New York and London. He explained that by building a HIPAA-grade app that keeps all patient data on the device, they have set a new standard that gives individuals control over their information. The app already includes advanced tools like a prescription scanner that securely records medication information and an encrypted image capture feature, allowing AI analysis of visible symptoms like skin or throat issues directly on the device.

The app also supports multiple languages and includes speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities, helping overcome literacy challenges by allowing users to describe symptoms naturally and receive spoken feedback. Laban Roomes, Co-Founder and COO, pointed out that features like the prescription scanner, image capture, and multilingual voice support make XRPH AI stand out in the African healthcare market. He also mentioned their strategy to expand through pharmacy acquisitions and an upcoming listing on the TSX Venture Exchange, aiming to build the most comprehensive healthcare platform on the continent.

Future plans include integrating XRPH AI with local hospital systems like UgandaEMR, allowing users to access their medical records offline and securely on their phones without those records ever passing through company servers. XRPH AI is designed specifically for African challenges, such as unreliable internet access, multiple languages, and limited doctor availability. The technology is part of XRP Healthcare’s broader effort to create a connected healthcare ecosystem by acquiring pharmacies and clinics to link physical care with digital tools powered by AI.

Whitney Lynn, Chairman of XRP Healthcare, described XRPH AI as more than just an app, but a major shift in how healthcare is delivered. She said the combination of HIPAA-grade privacy and practical features such as prescription scanning, image analysis, and language support positions XRP Healthcare to lead the transformation of healthcare across Africa. The upcoming TSX Venture listing will help speed up growth and expand this model throughout the continent and beyond, reinforcing their commitment to improving healthcare outcomes through innovation.
