HOYA Vision Care, a top innovator in eye lens technology, has launched two new advanced focus eyeglass lenses called VisuPro All Day and VisuPro Flex. These lenses are made especially for people aged 36 to 44 who are starting to see the early signs of presbyopia, which is the slow loss of the ability to focus on nearby objects. The lenses will be available for ordering starting September 17 in the United States, with plans to bring them to Canada later this year.

Samy Lauriette, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at HOYA Vision Care, said that younger adults with early presbyopia often find their current glasses don’t fully meet their vision needs. He stressed that addressing these changes early is important to keep vision clear and comfortable all day. Lauriette explained that VisuPro offers a new level of personalized care by combining proactive support with advanced lens technology designed for this stage of vision change.

HOYA is encouraging eye care professionals to try the new VisuPro lenses and take advantage of the Visionary Alliance introductory offer. This promotion gives up to an additional $15 on VisuPro lenses and on other products like iD LifeStyle 4 or MySV when bought with HOYA’s Sensity or HiVision Meiryo lenses.

Recent research from HOYA shows that more than half of current glasses wearers, and a majority of those who don’t usually wear glasses, between the ages of 36 and 44, report having more trouble seeing clearly up close and when using digital devices. Single vision lenses often don’t suit this age group as they start to experience presbyopia. Many people are hesitant to switch to progressive lenses because they worry about adjusting to them or feel they are too young for such products. Also, existing lens options don’t fully meet the needs of non-glasses wearers like those with normal vision, contact lens users, or people needing near vision support after LASIK surgery.

VisuPro lenses are specially designed to improve near vision for younger people with presbyopia by offering sharp and comfortable focus at all distances throughout the day. The lens design uses two main technologies. The first is Focus Max Optimization, which helps support close-up vision, making it easier to see clearly during near tasks and when using digital devices. This feature also helps reduce eye strain and visual fatigue, something more than two-thirds of younger presbyopic patients have shown strong interest in. The second technology is Binocular Harmonization Technology (BHT), which is unique to HOYA. It works by looking at the prescriptions for both eyes to create balanced lenses, improving focus stability and depth perception for a more comfortable visual experience.

Eduardo Martins, President of HOYA Vision Care North America, said the introduction of VisuPro shows the company’s commitment to providing innovative solutions and great value to eye care professionals. Martins described VisuPro as more than just a new lens—it shows HOYA’s dedication to improving clinical results and enhancing patient satisfaction.
