WIN, a top provider of family-building and wellness benefits, has expanded its maternal health program, WINMaternity, through a partnership with Mirvie. Known for its predictive tools in pregnancy care, Mirvie brings its Encompass test to WIN’s enhanced offering. This blood test detects early signs of preeclampsia—a serious complication affecting one in twelve pregnancies in the U.S.—and offers a proactive approach to care. With preeclampsia contributing up to $10 billion annually in healthcare costs, the collaboration aims to tackle a major challenge in maternal health through earlier detection and personalized care.

The expanded WINMaternity program now includes 24/7 access to Nurse Advocates, virtual support from maternity specialists, doula and lactation care, and rewards to encourage active participation throughout pregnancy and postpartum. WIN, a leader in fertility care for nearly 30 years, is extending its clinical expertise and data-driven approach to maternal care. It is the first benefits provider to offer Mirvie’s Encompass test, which not only assesses risk but also provides a prevention plan and a digital assistant. High-risk members receive evidence-based interventions, such as low-dose aspirin and home blood pressure monitors that sync with WIN’s app to alert nurses if any abnormalities are detected.
Every WINMaternity member is paired with a dedicated Nurse Care Advocate who offers consistent guidance tailored to individual health history and family goals. The program supports recovery beyond birth, helping to prevent complications like hemorrhage, postpartum depression, and preeclampsia. It also includes services that ease the transition back to work, such as a national network of doulas, lactation support, and virtual consultations. Members are encouraged to make healthy choices through an incentive system that supports long-term well-being during the family-building journey.

To support this initiative, WIN has enlisted two leading experts in maternal-fetal medicine. Dr. M. Camille Hoffman-Shuler from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Dr. Nicole Smith from Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital will provide strategic clinical direction to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. “Our maternal health solution represents the next chapter in our commitment to transforming the family-building experience,” said Roger Shedlin, MD, CEO of WIN. “By combining compassionate guidance with digital innovation, we’re helping employers support their workforce, reduce high-risk outcomes, and improve return-to-work transitions.” Employers like Hertz have already seen increased engagement and satisfaction among employees. “Hertz is thrilled to be partnering with WINMaternity, including their comprehensive fertility solution, to ensure our employees and their families have access to high-quality support, care, and resources throughout their family-building and maternity journey,” said Jen McClain, Senior Director of Human Resources and Benefits at Hertz. The program is part of WIN’s growing health platform, which also includes fertility and healthy aging solutions, helping organizations offer inclusive, connected care across all life stages.
