Reena Cherry, MS, PA-C, Senior Physician Assistant at UC San Diego Health, worked closely with Tolmar during the development of the program. In her view, supporting care partners with clear information and guidance helps them feel more confident in their role while also protecting their own physical and emotional health. She emphasized that when care partners are well informed and supported, they are better positioned to contribute positively to patient care.

It offers easy to understand educational content covering both early stage and advanced prostate cancer, helping care partners better understand treatment paths and what patients may experience. The site also includes practical tools such as downloadable materials to help organize medical information, prepare for doctor visits, and support healthier daily routines. In addition, the platform provides self care guidance with expert advice aimed at reducing stress and preventing burnout. Finally, it connects care partners to communities and support groups where they can share experiences and reduce feelings of isolation.
The new platform complements Tolmar’s existing educational initiatives for prostate cancer patients and healthcare professionals, including programs such as IncreMENtal ADT, aPC Central, and Prostate Cancer 360. Together, these resources help ensure that patients, care partners, and providers have access to consistent and dependable information. Care Partner Corner also allows healthcare professionals to extend support beyond the clinic by recommending a trusted resource tailored specifically for care partners.
