Each room at Reid Health is now equipped with advanced hellocare.ai devices, including high-resolution cameras and voice-enabled technology that power AI-Assisted Virtual Nursing, Telehealth, and AI-assisted Virtual Sitting. The rooms also feature fully integrated Interactive Digital Whiteboards and Smart Room Signs, providing real-time communication and clinical data access, seamlessly synchronized with Epic.

“With just a touch, nurses can now pull up patient labs, imaging, trends, and even write directly back to Epic from the whiteboard itself,” said Misti Foust-Cofield, MHA, BSN, RN, VP and Chief Nursing Officer at Reid Health. “The ease of access and bidirectional Epic integration have dramatically improved documentation, supported nurse wellbeing, and increased overall patient satisfaction.”

The data speaks volumes. From June through October 2024, Reid Health logged over 5,800 writebacks to Epic, while badge access to the whiteboards exceeded 14,000 uses, showing significant clinician engagement and adoption.

“With hellocare.ai, we’ve not only been able to consolidate multiple services and technologies into a single, integrated platform, but also introduce new capabilities that were previously unavailable to our care teams,” said Muhammad Siddiqui, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Reid Health. “This has transformed the way we deliver virtual care, streamlining workflows, enhancing staff efficiency, and creating a more connected experience for patients and clinicians alike.”

Reid Health has also extended this innovation to the classroom, integrating hellocare.ai into the IVY Tech Simulation Lab, where nursing students are trained with the same tools used in real patient rooms. “Our students now graduate ready to contribute from day one,” added Foust-Cofield.

“Reid Health’s bold vision and commitment to innovation make them an ideal partner,” said Labinot Bytyqi, Founder and CEO of hellocare.ai. “Together, we’ve created one of the most advanced smart hospital room models in the country, fully digital, virtual first, and patient centric.”

From nurse retention improvements to operational ROI, this partnership represents the gold standard in modern hospital care delivery, realized today at Reid Health.
