Newly appointed Chief Financial Officer, Barrett Dwyer, and Chief Revenue Officer, Kevin Field, join amid record growth, bringing decades of leadership experience across healthcare innovation and AI commercialization
Rad AI, the leader in generative AI for healthcare, announced the appointments of Barrett Dwyer as chief financial officer (CFO) and Kevin Field as chief revenue officer (CRO). These appointments come amid increasing demand for Rad AI’s intelligent radiology solutions and follow the company’s $60M Series C funding round announced earlier this year. With more than $140M raised to date, the company is now valued at $525M.

Rising patient volumes, increasing imaging utilization, a shortage of radiologists and an outdated technology infrastructure to read and report on imaging studies are placing mounting pressure on health systems. As the first company to deploy large language models (LLM)-based generative AI in radiology, Rad AI is well-positioned to help radiology departments and practices keep pace with rising volumes by improving turnaround times, increasing accuracy and reducing mental fatigue.
“With adoption of our solutions by radiology groups and health systems accounting for nearly 50% of all U.S. medical imaging, Rad AI is quickly becoming the generative AI platform of choice in healthcare, and we’re thrilled to bring on Barrett and Kevin to help turbocharge this growth,” said Doktor Gurson, co-founder and CEO at Rad AI. “Both Barrett and Kevin offer deep expertise in scaling businesses in dynamic healthcare environments, capitalizing on strategic growth opportunities and driving both adoption and value for new and existing customers. Their leadership will be instrumental as we continue to scale and transform how radiologists and care teams work.”
Barrett Dwyer, Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Dwyer will oversee Rad AI’s financial strategy, operations and planning. Dwyer joins Rad AI with over a decade of financial leadership experience in digital health, most recently serving as CFO at Brightline, where he drove financial performance and strategic planning in support of continued business expansion. Prior to Brightline, Dwyer served as CFO at Modern Health, where he led financial strategy, planning and operations as the company scaled through multiple funding rounds. He also held executive roles at Canvas, where he supported M&A processes and helped navigate the company’s acquisition by Ford Motor Company and subsequent merger with Fair.
“Rad AI is pioneering solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of physicians and patients at a moment when the healthcare system desperately needs innovation,” said Barrett Dwyer, chief financial officer at Rad AI. “I’m excited to help scale a company that’s literally written the book on generative AI, creating first-of-their-kind solutions that go above and beyond improving business performance by actually solving real-world problems facing providers and health systems every day.”

Kevin Field, Chief Revenue Officer
As CRO, Field will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s overall business strategy and ensuring cross-functional alignment to achieve revenue goals. Field brings more than 15 years of experience leading revenue growth at top healthcare technology companies, building high-performing teams and scaling organizations through periods of growth. Most recently, he served as SVP of Commercial Revenue at Bamboo Health, where he oversaw a $70M+ portfolio. Prior to that, Field helped drive revenue efforts at PatientPing, a national care coordination network used by hospitals and payers across the country.
“Rad AI is one of the rare companies that is delivering real-world impact with AI, bringing to market solutions that solve urgent challenges like radiologist burnout, staffing shortages and patient follow-up,” said Kevin Field, chief revenue officer at Rad AI. “I’ve spent my career helping healthcare organizations succeed through technology and I’m thrilled to bring that experience to Rad AI and usher them through this next phase and expand the reach of its ground-breaking technologies.”
Together, Dwyer and Field will help position Rad AI for its next stage of strategic growth, deepening partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem and strengthening the company’s commitment to improving patient outcomes through physician-led innovation.
The company’s suite of products – including Rad AI Reporting, Rad AI Impressions, and Rad AI Continuity – help address critical challenges in radiology, including staffing shortages, physician burnout, and gaps in follow-up care. In 2024, Rad AI was named the 19th fastest-growing company in North America on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list and recently secured a spot on the 2025 CNBC Disruptor 50 list.
