Osstem Implant, led by CEO Haesung Kim and ranked as the third largest dental implant company globally by market share, is greatly increasing its clinical and digital dentistry education programs in India as part of its improved corporate social responsibility efforts. By merging modern implant technologies with a well-organized and standard training program, the company wants to help more patients get safe, affordable, and up-to-date dental care. To support clinical learning among dentists, Osstem has created the Osstem Implant Training Center, known as OIC, which offers a practical and complete learning experience. Worldwide, over 120,000 dentists have taken advantage of Osstem’s training programs. In India, over 10,000 dentists have finished OIC courses by August 2025, making it the second largest training center globally after China. The numbers continue to grow, with 1,249 dentists graduating in 2024 and another 856 completing their training by August 2025, showing strong interest from Indian dental professionals. This structured training approach has resulted in noticeable improvements in the skills and clinical abilities of dentists throughout the country.

Osstem is also leading the way in advancing digital dentistry education in India. In August 2025, Dr. YinShik Hur, a well-known author and Director of Digital Dentistry, delivered a detailed course on digital workflows. Soon after, Professor Marco Tallarico, a globally respected implantology expert, conducted a two-day intensive program in Mumbai titled “Full Arch Rehabilitation from Planning to Restorations.” This course covered important topics like CBCT scan analysis, intraoral scanning methods, surgical guide design, and hands-on training for immediate implant placement, especially for patients who have no teeth. These programs are designed to improve dentists’ understanding of advanced digital dental technologies.

The impact of these education initiatives goes beyond just sharing knowledge; they create social value by making high-quality dental care more accessible to underserved areas. OIC India’s programs reach dentists working in both big cities and rural regions, helping to reduce the gap in dental care availability. Clinics run by OIC-trained dentists report excellent clinical results, improving patients’ quality of life and supporting the growth of India’s dental healthcare system.
Additionally, Osstem hosts the annual “Osstem Meeting” in India, a platform where top dental experts and practitioners share the latest clinical advancements and industry trends. The event attracted around 400 dentists in Bengaluru in July and about 1,300 participants in September. For next year, Osstem plans to host the Osstem Meetings in key cities such as Kolkata, Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad.
Heewon Park, Managing Director of Osstem Implant India, stressed the importance of education by saying, “Providing world-class training to dentists in India strengthens their clinical skills and aligns with our commitment to social responsibility. We are committed to ensuring that more patients across India can receive high-quality dental care through well-trained professionals.”
