The Better Business Bureau has been helping consumers find trustworthy companies since 1912. Liberty HealthShare’s accreditation shows that it operates with transparency and accountability. With over 5.4 million businesses and nonprofits in the U.S. and Canada, only about eight percent achieve BBB accreditation. The BBB also notes that 80 percent of consumers are more likely to support a company with this designation. The BBB’s website outlines the detailed standards that businesses must meet to earn accreditation.

Liberty HealthShare is known as one of the most transparent and accountable nonprofits in the country. Along with its BBB accreditation, it is the only healthsharing ministry in the U.S. to receive both the GuideStar Gold Seal from Candid for 2025 and a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. According to a recent member survey, nearly 80 percent of members are either satisfied or very satisfied with their experience. The ministry has a 4.5-star rating on Google and 4.4 stars on Trustpilot.

Founded in 1995, Liberty HealthShare offers a faith-based, cost-effective alternative to traditional health insurance. Members can choose their own healthcare providers while being part of a supportive Christian community. The ministry emphasizes transparency and stewardship and offers customized programs for individuals, families, and seniors. It provides six affordable medical cost-sharing plans that fit different needs and budgets, with monthly suggested share amounts ranging from $87 to $362 for individuals and starting at $319 for families of four. Most plans include access to urgent care and mental health telehealth services, along with discounts on prescriptions and other benefits. Liberty Dental, the dental sharing program, allows members to visit any dentist without network restrictions, and the monthly share amount starts at $35. Since Liberty HealthShare is not insurance, members can join at any time during the year without needing to meet specific qualifying events.
