Bruker Corporation, has announced that Jack J. Phillips will join its Board of Directors effective January 1, 2026. Mr. Phillips brings over 30 years of experience in the diagnostics industry and has held senior leadership roles across multiple organizations.

Frank H. Laukien, chairman, president and CEO of Bruker, expressed enthusiasm about Phillips joining the board, highlighting his deep knowledge of diagnostics, strategic insight, and track record of translating scientific innovation into clinical and business impact. Laukien noted that Phillips’ expertise will be especially valuable as Bruker expands its infectious disease diagnostics and leverages its disease biology research tools to explore specialty diagnostics opportunities.

Phillips previously served as President and CEO of Accelerate Diagnostics from 2020 to 2025, where he led the development of rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing technology aimed at helping hospitals and infectious disease specialists address severe bacterial infections, sepsis, and antibiotic resistance. Before that, he was President and CEO of Roche Diagnostics North America from 2010 to 2020, overseeing clinical chemistry, immunodiagnostics, molecular diagnostics, tissue and point-of-care diagnostics, and digital pathology. From 1999 to 2010, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for North America at Ventana Medical Systems, where he helped establish tissue and companion diagnostics as standards of care.

Over his career, Phillips has focused on turning innovative science into clinical solutions while driving operational and commercial growth. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Tucson Medical Center and previously served on the board of AdvaMedDx. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northern Kentucky University.

He commented that he is honored to join Bruker’s board and admires the company’s entrepreneurial culture and commitment to innovation. Phillips emphasized that diagnostics should be seen as an interconnected ecosystem capable of transforming biological insights into both clinical and economic outcomes, and he looks forward to contributing his experience and perspective to Bruker’s board.
