NaphCare, a leading provider of correctional healthcare services, announced that its TechCare electronic health record system has been awarded a NASPO ValuePoint master agreement administered by the State of Utah. Once a participating addendum is executed, government agencies across the United States will be able to purchase TechCare directly without going through the traditional Request for Proposal process starting September 16, 2026. This milestone allows agencies to streamline procurement, reduce costs, and gain direct access to NaphCare’s corrections-focused EHR technology and support services.

The NASPO ValuePoint designation positions NaphCare within a trusted cooperative procurement framework that generated $20.5 billion in contractor sales in 2023, including $1.45 billion through the Cloud Solutions portfolio. Charlie Barranco, Chief Information Officer at NaphCare, said that the contract represents a significant advancement in how government agencies can access TechCare. He explained that by working directly with agencies through NASPO ValuePoint, NaphCare can provide faster implementations, more responsive support, and a solution tailored to the unique needs of correctional healthcare, ultimately improving patient care.

Through this agreement, state departments, correctional institutions, public agencies, political subdivisions, federally recognized tribes, and other eligible nonprofit organizations in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories can implement TechCare more efficiently while retaining the cost savings and competitive pricing benefits offered by cooperative purchasing.

With more than 20 years of development and continuous innovation, including TechCare GO, TechCare Business Intelligence, and the MyCare Patient Portal, TechCare continues to evolve to meet the dynamic needs of correctional healthcare nationwide, providing a secure, efficient, and patient-centered electronic health record solution.
