ZOIA Healthcare, Inc., which is owned by Pentec Company, has announced that it has bought Lil’s Low Carb Inc. (Lil’s Dietary), a small business that provides special low-protein and medical foods for people with certain genetic metabolic disorders. Lil’s Dietary has been around for over 20 years and is known for offering high-quality nutrition that is tailored to the needs of people with these rare conditions.

This acquisition is a big step in ZOIA Healthcare’s efforts to better serve patients who have rare metabolic diseases. By bringing Lil’s Dietary into its group, ZOIA is growing its reach and showing its ongoing dedication to providing better nutrition solutions for this group of patients. This move helps ZOIA become a stronger leader in providing medical nutrition products and supports its focus on putting patients first.

Marcie Harvey, the founder of Lil’s Dietary, will stay involved in the company as it transitions to ZOIA. “My goal has always been to help every child feel normal by giving them the nutrition they need—and that won’t change,” said Marcie Harvey. “I’m excited to join ZOIA and keep supporting the rare metabolic disease community with the same care and effort that has been the foundation of Lil’s from the start.”

Eric Mollman, the President of Pentec Health, Inc., talked about the important benefits of this acquisition and the common goals between the two companies. “Lil’s Dietary has long been a trusted name in the metabolic community, and we are proud to take on that legacy,” said Mollman. “This acquisition not only adds more low-protein foods—carefully made by Lil’s founder—to ZOIA’s offerings, but it also improves our ability to distribute these products and strengthens our support for patients and partners in important public health programs.”

ZOIA Healthcare plans to keep the same level of personalized service that Lil’s Dietary is known for. As part of the transition, ZOIA will expand its distribution network through several important state and public health programs, ensuring that patients throughout the U.S. can keep getting the nutrition they need. These programs include the Illinois State Program, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, the Tennessee Department of Health Children’s Special Services Program, and the Division of Specialized Care for Children in Chicago. To support the new operations, all order processing and product shipping will move to ZOIA Healthcare’s FDA-approved food facility in Vancouver, Washington. This 11,000-square-foot facility is set up for safe, efficient, and compliant handling of special nutrition products. This change ensures that patients will continue to get the same quality and care they have been used to, without any interruptions. Patients should continue using the existing ways to place orders, as the order and shipping processes will stay the same during the transition. The full integration of operations is expected to be finished by August 2025.

With this acquisition, ZOIA Healthcare continues to show its long-term support for the rare metabolic disease community. The company keeps investing in specialized medical nutrition to make sure that patients in all 50 states can access the care and products they need to improve their quality of life.
