Zocdoc, a leading platform that helps people find and book medical care, has formed a new partnership with Healthgrades, one of the most widely used sites for researching doctors and hospitals in the United States. Through this collaboration, Healthgrades visitors will now see live appointment availability and will be able to book directly with participating providers using Zocdoc’s scheduling technology. This is the first time a major healthcare ratings and reviews site has adopted Zocdoc’s real time booking tools, opening access to an estimated 16.5 million hours of appointments over a 90 day period at launch, with that number expected to rise as more practices join.

Courtney Jeffus, President of Healthgrades, said that patients want a smoother and more supportive experience when looking for care. She explained that bringing Zocdoc’s booking technology into Healthgrades’ search tools helps people move quickly from researching a doctor to securing an appointment. She added that this connection removes stress for patients and helps clinicians reach people who are ready to receive care.

Oliver Kharraz, MD, founder and chief executive of Zocdoc, said that the partnership tackles a well known problem in healthcare, which is how many barriers people face when they simply want to see a clinician. He shared that Zocdoc spent years building the system that allows real time booking, and opening that technology beyond its own marketplace means more people can reach care without extra steps. He noted that supporting booking through Healthgrades will help patients get care faster and help healthcare professionals connect with motivated patients at the right time.
For many people, booking a medical appointment still involves a string of frustrating tasks, from searching multiple sites to calling offices that are difficult to reach. This often leads to delays that can harm health. In a 2025 Zocdoc survey, one in four Americans said they strongly dislike calling a medical office. More than half of those who could not reach their provider by phone postponed their care, and one in three gave up trying to schedule a visit altogether. By integrating Zocdoc’s technology, Healthgrades users can now find clinicians who take their insurance, check availability instantly, and book appointments online without having to call.
Healthcare providers will also benefit from the partnership. Clinicians who appear on Healthgrades and already use Zocdoc will automatically have their open appointments listed, giving them greater visibility and helping them connect with patients who are prepared to book. Activation requires only a simple one time setup. Zocdoc has created more than 175 calendar connections with widely used scheduling systems, allowing doctors’ appointment slots to appear directly on Healthgrades profiles and eventually in search results. This added reach makes it easier for practices to meet new patients and support timely access to care.
