With more than half of U.S. adults affected by chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes, the need for convenient, accessible preventive care is urgent. William Kimbrough, MD, MSPH, Senior Medical Director of Clinical Services at Amazon One Medical, emphasized the importance of meeting patients where they are. He explained that the partnership allows individuals completing Reperio’s at-home screenings to transition directly into comprehensive primary care, ensuring access to clinicians who deliver high-quality care and value.
The Reperio Health at-home screening takes between thirty minutes and one hour to complete. The FDA-cleared, Bluetooth-connected kit measures blood pressure, heart rate, BMI, body fat percentage, blood glucose, and a full lipid panel including total, HDL, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. Results are delivered instantly through Reperio’s mobile app. The ReperioCare service provides an on-demand virtual visit with a clinician to review results and medical history, after which patients can utilize their included One Medical membership for ongoing care. ReperioCare is available nationwide and has been shown to increase engagement among hybrid and hard-to-reach workforces while helping reduce long-term healthcare costs.
Travis Rush, CEO and co-founder of Reperio Health, said that preventive care is experiencing its “Amazon moment,” where convenience and accessibility are expected. He highlighted that the partnership with Amazon One Medical ensures preventive care and long-term primary care access can reach communities and patients who have traditionally been underserved, providing a practical and timely solution for proactive health management.
