QuidelOrtho Corporation has launched its Certified Analyzer Program, a new effort to make reliable diagnostic testing more accessible in rural and community hospitals across the United States. This initiative is tailored to meet the needs of physician office labs, clinics, and small hospitals with fewer than 100 beds by offering access to high-quality, certified VITROS analyzers at a much lower cost.

Audra Jones, Senior Vice President of North America at QuidelOrtho, highlighted the company’s dedication to providing healthcare providers with dependable diagnostic tools. “Our mission is to help our customers deliver diagnostic excellence to patients,” said Jones. “By reusing and thoroughly certifying high-performing analyzers, we aim to increase access to reliable diagnostic technology for healthcare facilities that are essential to their communities.”
Each analyzer in the program undergoes a detailed restoration and testing process at QuidelOrtho’s Rochester facility. The certification process includes over 140 system checks, covering functional testing, hardware inspection, cleaning or replacing parts, and making necessary adjustments to ensure peak performance. These devices are brought up to meet QuidelOrtho’s high quality standards and come with a one-year warranty for service and support.

The Certified Analyzer Program currently features models like the VITROS XT 7600 and 5600 Integrated Systems, as well as the VITROS 3600 Immunodiagnostic System. These systems are ideal for community labs that perform general chemistry tests, immunoassays, and drug screenings. They offer a cost-effective solution for smaller facilities that want to maintain diagnostic accuracy without the expense of brand-new equipment.
Jones added, “We’re proud to support healthcare providers who are the backbone of their communities, supported by our award-winning service and top-rated customer satisfaction. This program is not just about affordability; it’s built to improve access to diagnostic solutions for healthcare providers in underserved areas.”
With this new program, QuidelOrtho continues to focus on health equity and support for smaller healthcare institutions, reinforcing its position as a leader in innovative diagnostic solutions.
