Sandy Spitale brings a distinguished background in healthcare, including 15 years at Humana where she managed clinical operations on a national scale. Her experience covers utilization management, care management, quality improvement programs such as Star and HEDIS ratings, and home health initiatives. Most recently, she served as Chief Clinical Officer at Ochsner Health System, overseeing clinical operations, pharmacy services, appeals and grievances, and quality improvement programs, while advancing value-based care initiatives.
As both a clinical expert and executive leader, Spitale believes that healthcare innovation should enhance access, quality, and outcomes for patients. Her perspective is shaped by her background as a registered nurse combined with an MBA, giving her a unique ability to bridge clinical knowledge with business strategy. This approach ensures that PayForward’s solutions are practical, data-driven, and tailored to meet the specific needs of health plans and their members.
