NuvemRx, a technology enabled pharmacy solutions provider serving community health organizations, has announced the acquisition of the 340B referral capture business previously known as par8o from R1 RCM. par8o is recognized for its healthcare technology focused on specialty referral capture within the 340B program and its broad integrations with major pharmacy partners across the United States. This acquisition enhances NuvemRx’s ability to help covered entities better manage specialty referrals, keep patients within their care networks, adapt to changing rebate and reimbursement requirements, and increase eligible prescription savings.

Scott Seidelmann, Chief Executive Officer of NuvemRx, explained that referral leakage and disconnected specialty care processes often limit the ability of safety net organizations to fully benefit from the 340B program. He shared that integrating par8o’s referral technology into NuvemRx’s services allows for significant automation across referral and eligibility workflows. According to Seidelmann, this approach can reduce administrative workload while helping providers deliver more coordinated and efficient care for their patients.

par8o’s technology strengthens NuvemRx’s existing pharmacy services by addressing a key challenge within the 340B ecosystem. Real time referral visibility enables providers to identify eligible prescriptions more accurately, capture additional savings, and minimize leakage throughout specialty care workflows. This capability supports better financial performance while maintaining a strong focus on patient access and continuity of care.

Melissa Opraseuth, Chief Operating Officer of par8o, who will join the NuvemRx leadership team, noted that the combination creates a more complete solution for covered entities. She stated that bringing together referral capture, pharmacy management, and TPA services under one aligned organization helps address the complexity of the 340B program. Opraseuth added that the combined capabilities will better support safety net providers and ensure continued access to care for patients nationwide.

The acquisition reflects NuvemRx’s ongoing commitment to expanding its platform in ways that simplify 340B operations, strengthen specialty care coordination, and help community health providers maximize the impact of the programs they rely on to serve vulnerable populations.
