Hims & Hers Health has launched new services focused on menopause and perimenopause, adding to its virtual care platform. This move is part of the company’s plan to reach over $1 billion in annual revenue by 2026. The news made a big impact on Wall Street, with the company’s stock increasing by almost 18% on Wednesday, showing that investors are confident in the company’s future.

Hims & Hers, which already has more than half a million active members, is now addressing a key area of women’s health that’s often overlooked. In the U.S., about 1.3 million women go through menopause each year. But only about 30% of OB-GYNs get formal training in managing menopause. This lack of education has left many women without the care they need for symptoms like hot flashes, trouble sleeping, mood changes, and issues with skin and hair.

Now, through the Hers platform, women can connect with doctors who specialize in menopause and perimenopause care. These professionals will help create personalized treatment plans. This might include hormone therapies like estradiol, which can be taken as pills, patches, or creams, or progesterone. For those looking for non-hormone options, there are also treatment plans tailored to each person’s medical needs and lifestyle.

Jessica Shepherd, MD, the Chief Medical Officer at Hers, said the expansion is more than just about giving out medication. She wants women to feel heard and supported in their healthcare journey. She mentioned that many women have had to deal with healthcare systems that weren’t built with their needs in mind. This new service reflects a much-needed change in how women’s health is cared for.

Looking forward, Hims & Hers plans to grow its menopause and perimenopause services even more by 2026. This is happening as more companies enter the virtual menopause care market. For instance, Midi Health recently raised $60 million and is expanding its telehealth services with a focus on insurance coverage. Other companies like MyMenopauseRx, Evernow, and Carrot Fertility are also making their mark, with Carrot Fertility recently starting a menopause clinic for employer health plans. This new service from Hims & Hers follows its recent entry into testosterone therapy, showing the company’s effort to offer a wider range of health services. At the same time, the company is moving away from compounded weight-loss treatments due to increased regulatory attention. With this latest step, Hims & Hers is positioning itself as a key provider of gender-focused virtual healthcare, aiming to become a trusted place for effective and inclusive care.
