Gozio Health, a leading provider of location-aware mobile health solutions, has announced a new integration that brings blue-dot wayfinding directly into MyChart for Epic customers. The feature, included in Epic’s November release, allows patients to navigate health system campuses with step-by-step directions, helping reduce stress, missed appointments, and staff workload while improving overall patient flow. Joshua Titus, CEO of Gozio Health, explained that embedding wayfinding into MyChart provides health systems and patients with a seamless navigation experience. He emphasized that this integration simplifies care access, reduces friction on campus, and enhances digital engagement by allowing patients to move confidently through complex healthcare environments.

Gozio’s wayfinding service uses context-aware maps to determine a patient’s current location and provide a clear route to their appointment. This ensures patients can reach their destination efficiently while freeing up staff to focus on clinical care rather than guiding visitors. The integration is being piloted at UK HealthCare in Lexington, Kentucky, a large academic medical center with four hospitals, more than 80 specialty clinics, and numerous outreach programs. UK HealthCare already uses MyChart to manage patient health records, results, and appointments, and the addition of Gozio’s navigation technology is expected to significantly enhance the patient experience.

Kayla Staley, Director of Digital Engagement at UK HealthCare, said the MyChart wayfinding feature will simplify access to care, increase patient engagement with MyChart, and support patients throughout their healthcare journey. She added that tools like this help make healthcare feel more personal and less complicated. Gozio offers flexible deployment options, including embedding wayfinding into custom apps via SDK or using Gozio’s own mobile experience platform.
The MyChart integration marks the latest advancement in Gozio’s efforts to provide comprehensive healthcare wayfinding solutions. The company’s blue-dot navigation technology has already mapped over 200 million square feet of hospital campuses and is live at hundreds of sites across the country. This integration is available in the November MyChart release through the Epic Toolbox, giving health systems a practical, patient-centered solution to simplify campus navigation, improve access, and enhance the overall experience for patients.
