Experity, a leading provider of on-demand healthcare solutions serving 22 of the 25 largest urgent care organizations in the U.S., announced the expansion of its Partner Ecosystem with the addition of Amazon Pharmacy, a full-service digital pharmacy that delivers medications directly to patients’ homes. This collaboration enables urgent care patients to place prescription orders during their visit, access manufacturer discounts automatically, and receive fast, convenient delivery, including same-day service in certain areas.

“Partnering with Amazon Pharmacy represents a significant step for Experity and the evolution of on-demand healthcare,” said Adrian Agostini, Experity Chief Revenue Officer. “This partnership combines clinical excellence with the convenience patients expect, and it directly addresses the challenges of prescription access and timely treatment.”

Studies from the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine show that urgent care prescriptions filled on the same day of the visit have a significantly lower abandonment rate of two percent compared to 23 percent when patients go to a community pharmacy. Andrea Giamalva, MD, Experity Chief Medical Officer, noted that “providing home delivery through Amazon Pharmacy removes one of the largest obstacles to beginning treatment. Pharmacy-related inquiries account for 15 percent of urgent care calls, often requiring staff to manage prescription issues or find alternative solutions. This delays treatment and creates unnecessary friction for patients.”

By the end of 2025, nearly half of Experity’s U.S. customers are expected to have same-day delivery through Amazon Pharmacy, while Amazon Prime members will benefit from free two-day delivery. Patients can avoid long pharmacy lines and receive medications in discreet packaging with real-time tracking updates. Tanvi Patel, Vice President and General Manager of Amazon Pharmacy, added that “integrating our pharmacy into Experity’s ecosystem reduces delays between diagnosis and the first dose, giving patients faster access to treatment and a more transparent experience with clear pricing.”

This collaboration is the first of its kind in the urgent care industry, offering patients Amazon’s familiar retail-style experience for prescription fulfillment and enhancing access to medications and overall health outcomes. Alongside Amazon Pharmacy, Experity recently partnered with Zocdoc to help urgent care clinics attract new patients by showing real-time availability to millions of users online. Kevin Clarke, Experity Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Development, said “patients today expect healthcare to be as fast and convenient as other services they use daily. By partnering with organizations like Amazon, we are bringing those expectations into urgent care and shaping a seamless care experience for patients.”
