Meaningful Improvements at Discharge

Clients entering Embark programs often experience significant psychological distress. According to the report, from admission to discharge:

  • Distress decreased by 41% (client-reported) and 37% (parent-reported).
  • Depression decreased by 42%.
  • Anxiety decreased by 40%.

Notably, clients entering care with high-acuity mental health symptoms also demonstrated substantial improvements, highlighting the effectiveness of Embarks therapeutic approach even in severe cases.

Long-Term Healing After Treatment

Embark continues to monitor client progress after discharge. The results of one and two-year post-treatment surveys affirm recovery and sustained outcomes of care:

  • 94% of parents reported their child was enrolled in school or employed one year after discharge; that number increased to 95% after two years.
  • 88% of parents reported no psychiatric hospitalizations one-year post-discharge; 83% reported the same at the two-year mark.
  • One year after discharge, 75% of clients and 85% of parents said their challenges were “somewhat better” or “much better.” Those rates remained consistent at two years, with clients at 77% and parents at 85%.

“These outcomes reinforce the impact of our comprehensive, family-focused care,” said Scott Filion, CEO of Embark Behavioral Health. “At Embark, we use data to guide treatment every step of the way—ensuring each young person receives the personalized support they need for lasting recovery.”

A Full Continuum of Evidence-Based Care

Embark’s multidisciplinary teams and Joint Commission-accredited programs provide a full spectrum of services to meet children, adolescents, and young adults where they are on their healing journey. The continuum includes:
