Starting on September 2, 2025, this collaboration will provide free, on-demand mental health support to approximately 30,000 student residents across the country.

This initiative marks a major advancement in the student housing sector by directly integrating professional mental health services into the residential experience. Since launching in 2010, Core Spaces has been at the forefront of redefining student living in top-tier college markets, combining a people-first philosophy with hospitality-inspired property management. With 78 properties and 48,000 beds under management, the company continues to lead in delivering innovative, high-quality living solutions.

Through this partnership, Core Spaces residents will receive access to several mental health services. These include unlimited 24/7 messaging with licensed mental health professionals, complimentary access to Talkspace Go—a self-guided mental wellness app—and one free virtual therapy session per year, providing flexibility and accessibility to those who need support.

Natalie Cummins, Chief Business Officer at Talkspace, shared that college life, while full of personal development, can also bring serious mental health challenges. This partnership lets us provide resources directly to students, helping them deal with these pressures and succeed.” The program will begin in 32 university markets including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Tucson, and Madison, with plans to expand across Core Spaces’ entire portfolio in the future.
