Patented technology enables real-time behavioral analysis, accurate profiling, and bias reduction in diagnostics; platform to focus initially on autism and ADHD

ARC, the innovation hub at Sheba Medical Center, has partnered with Revealense, a company that develops an AI-powered platform for analyzing behavioral patterns through video, to start a new joint effort. This initiative aims to bring advanced neurological diagnostic tools directly to patients’ homes. The goal is to provide accurate and medically proven diagnoses for various neurological, cognitive, and developmental conditions using just a regular webcam. This allows patients to be assessed in the comfort of their own homes, without needing to visit a clinic.

This collaboration marks a new development in neurological diagnostics by integrating digital technology with personalized care and AI-driven analysis. It is expected to transform how diagnoses are made, reducing the time to treatment and offering more tailored care for neurological and developmental disorders. The initial focus, led by Dr. Omer Bar Yosef, Director of Sheba’s Child Development Center, will be on conditions like autism and ADHD. This method could significantly cut down the time needed for diagnosis and help detect issues as early as six to twelve months of age.

The diagnostic system works by evaluating patients in their natural home environment, which can lead to more accurate data than traditional clinical settings. Unlike other tools, the platform considers environmental factors, monitors behavioral changes over time, and creates customized care plans for each individual. It also sets a baseline condition before formal assessments, addressing many limitations in current diagnostic methods.

ARC, which stands for Accelerate, Redesign, Collaborate, supports the creation and use of technology led by healthcare professionals. It connects doctors, entrepreneurs, and engineers within Sheba Medical Center and a network of over 300 hospitals in 12 countries. This new venture with Revealense adds to ARC’s growing list of proven medical innovations, developed in partnership with healthcare leaders.
