Amazon One Medical has introduced Health Insights, a new beta feature designed to help eligible members better understand their routine lab results through personalized analysis and evidence-based guidance. The feature is included at no additional cost for One Medical members and aims to turn standard bloodwork into actionable health information that supports more informed conversations with healthcare providers. Health Insights was developed in collaboration with Lifeforce, a company specializing in biomarker analysis and personalized wellness programs.

This feature addresses a growing need among patients who want to engage more actively with their health data but often lack the expertise to interpret what lab results mean for their daily lives. Health Insights evaluates more than 50 biomarkers from routine bloodwork and organizes findings into health domains such as cardiovascular, metabolic, and immune function. The feature also provides individualized recommendations on nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and sleep, along with scientific references for each suggestion. It is intended to complement clinical care and help members understand their results while supporting One Medical providers in delivering personalized care.

Andrew Diamond, PhD, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Amazon One Medical, explained that the launch of Health Insights reflects the company’s commitment to improving patient engagement and providing clarity around complex health information. He said the tool helps members focus on what matters most by making their health data easier to understand and facilitating meaningful discussions with their care teams. Dugal Bain-Kim, CEO and Co-Founder of Lifeforce, noted that Americans are increasingly motivated to take control of their health, and Health Insights empowers patients to make informed decisions at a moment when they are most engaged, potentially improving long-term health outcomes.

Eligible members can access Health Insights through the Lab Results and Insights section of the My Health tab in the One Medical app. After completing a brief questionnaire, members receive a personalized wellness score, detailed biomarker analysis, evidence-based lifestyle recommendations, and supporting scientific references. The tool is integrated with Health AI, One Medical’s conversational assistant, which allows members to ask questions about their results, clarify medical terminology, explore connections between different health metrics, and track trends over time. Together, Health Insights and Health AI provide both structured analysis and interactive guidance to support informed decision-making and strengthen patient-provider collaboration.

Participation requires members to be over 18, have at least one lab result in their chart from the past year, and not have certain conditions that need specialized clinical attention. One Medical maintains strict privacy and security protocols that comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information, and the company does not sell protected health data. Lifeforce powers the analysis behind Health Insights using peer-reviewed research and longitudinal studies to ensure recommendations are evidence-based and clinically relevant. One Medical’s clinical team reviews these recommendations to maintain alignment with current medical guidelines.

The launch of Health Insights demonstrates One Medical’s ongoing effort to enhance patient care through technology while keeping the human element central. By providing members with meaningful insights into their health data, the feature supports more proactive and personalized healthcare. One Medical plans to measure the success of Health Insights through member engagement, feedback from providers, and improvements in health outcomes, with ongoing adjustments during the beta period to optimize the feature for patients and care teams alike.
