Augury’s Machine Health Ultra Low delivers continuous monitoring and advanced AI diagnostics for equipment rotating as slow as 1 RPM—extending Machine Health 360° coverage to even more critical industrial assets

Augury, the leader in industrial AI solutions for reliability and process optimization, unveiled its Machine Health Ultra Low solution, introducing the industry’s first AI-driven monitoring and diagnostics for slow-rotating machinery (1-150 RPM). This breakthrough solution leverages ultrasonic sensing and advanced AI diagnostics to detect machine faults early, at a high degree of accuracy, in manufacturing equipment previously considered too complex to monitor continuously. With this launch, Augury expands its industry-leading Machine Health 360° coverage to hundreds of additional asset types. Machine Health 360° gives manufacturers greater coverage and control with reliable AI diagnostics that continuously expand to cover more assets, of any criticality, in any environment.

“Our Machine Health solutions are widely embraced in the industry for their fast time to value, high accuracy and transformative impact,” said Gal Shaul, Augury Co-Founder and Chief Product and Technology Officer. “Yet, manufacturing environments continue to present complexities that demand more sophisticated solutions. Our team thrives on solving these challenges, and the low RPM solution is an example of how we’re bringing our prescriptive diagnostics approach to a new frontier, delivering greater intelligence and reliability to the most difficult-to-monitor machines.”

Historically, low RPM machinery has been impractical to monitor effectively, forcing manufacturers to accept costly unplanned downtime when failures occur. Even traditional monitoring solutions – which are typically handheld devices or rudimentary online monitoring systems – have failed to prevent disruptions. These tools rely on basic thresholds and manual guesswork, often triggering false alarms and missing critical early warning signs.

Augury addresses this long-standing industry challenge by utilizing its new Halo U2000 Ultrasonic Sensing to monitor slow-rotating equipment continuously, collecting long-sample, high-frequency (up to 100kHz) data samples from the machine. Sensor data is collected and sent into the Machine Health platform for prescriptive diagnostics. If faults are detected, Augury delivers meaningful insights to the user, including fault severity, root causes and recommended actions to remediate the issue. This solution can monitor hundreds of ultra low RPM assets in every vertical of manufacturing and successfully detect machine faults such as bearing failures and lubrication issues, kiln refractory looseness, impacting and gear friction.

“In one instance, our Machine Health Ultra Low detected an impacting issue and a loose bolt within a critical rotary kiln gearbox at a mining site—a problem that, if left unaddressed, could have led to a devastating fire,” added Shaul. “Rotary kilns, operating at 20-25 RPMs, are a prime example of slow-rotating machines that have been nearly impossible to monitor. By catching this issue early, we helped our customer boost worker safety and avoid losing 4,000 hours and $100K+ to an unplanned downtime event. This is exactly why we built this solution—to bring real, measurable impact to the most challenging industrial assets.”

Augury’s Machine Health Ultra Low is a core pillar of Machine Health 360°, extending AI-powered prescriptive diagnostics to some of the most difficult-to-monitor yet critical industrial assets. Machine Health 360° delivers a scalable, full-plant solution that enhances reliability, efficiency and resilience across industries.
